Rens Groot is the Innovation and Performance manager at Berge Bulk, headquartered in Singapore. Berge Bulk is one of the world's leading independent dry bulk owners, operating and managing a fleet of over 78 vessels. Rens leads innovation to meet Berge Bulk's ambitious goals of Carbon Neutrality in 2025, and a Zero emission ship in 2030. He also responsible for Performance management, ensuring best-in-class systems and tools for driving fuel efficiency in the fleet. In his earlier role he was New Building manager, managing teams for the delivery of 28 new Bulk Carriers.
Previously, he worked at Maersk Maritime Technology where he successfully delivered many Newbuilding projects for A.P Moller-Maersk group, amongst them the groundbreaking Triple-E series container ships. He is educated as a Naval Architect from Delft University of Technology.
