Douglas Cowden

Douglas Cowden began a sea-going career as a Junior Engineer in 1978 progressing through the ranks until reaching chief engineer primarily sailing on oil tanker vessels.
Companies served in a sea-going capacity include United Arab Shipping Company, Kuwait Oil Tankers, Red Band A/S, Stena Bulk and NMM managed fleet.
In 1999 Douglas moved ashore to take up a position as vessel superintendent with Northern Marine Management Ltd. He has progressed through several senior positions to include Technical Manager, General Manager and now serves as Director of Ship Management for Northern Marine Management Ltd.
