Matt joined Seaspan Corporation (now Atlas Corp.; NYSE: ATCO) in 2018, and is currently Treasurer & Head of Capital Markets of the company. Atlas is a publicly listed (NYSE:ATCO) holding company with two operating companies: Seaspan, the largest containership owner and operator globally, and APR Energy, a provider of fast-track power solutions. Matt has held various senior leadership roles within Atlas during his tenure, focused on modernizing and building out functions supporting the capital structure and investment functions including Treasury, Capital Markets, Investor Relations, and M&A underwriting and execution processes.
During his tenure at Atlas, Matt has concluded over $6 billion in containership transactions, both second-hand and newbuild, the formation of Atlas and acquisition of APR Energy as Atlas’ energy platform, and has raised over $10 billion of capital from public and private markets.
Prior to joining Atlas, Matt held roles in Investment Banking with Desjardins Capital Markets focused on infrastructure, industrials, and real estate, and in Equity Research with Raymond James, covering infrastructure & industrials.
