Erwin Derlagen
Chief Operating Officer
ENESEL Limited
Erwin is the Chief Operating Officer of ENESEL Limited since March 2018. Erwin started his career at sea as an apprentice Engineer back in 1983, and became first time Chief Engineer in 1990. After almost 9 years at sea, in 1992 he moved ashore and worked for 4 years as a Technical Manager for Metalock do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro, from where he moved and start working in 1996 as a Technical Superintendent for SMT Shipping, a ship owner in Cyprus, growing into the role of Deputy General Manager. In 2006 he joined Reederei Nord in Cyprus as their Technical Manager and returned to SMT Shipping in 2011 as Fleet Technical Director for their operations in Brazil and India.
In September 2014 he joined ENESEL S.A. as their Technical Director bringing over 30 years of experience with him, in July 2015 he moved to Cyprus as the Technical Director of the newly established ENESEL Limited. Erwin Derlagen is an active board member of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) representing ENESEL Limited and is the chair of the CSC Marine and Technical and Environmental Advisory Committees. Erwin holds an Executive “Blue” MBA in Shipping & Logistics from the Copenhagen Business School.
