Andrew Hanson has 25 years experience originating, structuring, and executing debt private placement transactions. Andrew began his career at Bankers Trust in capital markets before joining Merrill Lynch, where he ran the debt private placement group for over 10 years. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Andrew spent 3 years as Managing Director of BofAML's private placement team where he focused on originating transactions for industrial, financial, and consumer companies. Andrew has raised approximately $3.4 Bn in private debt and preferred capital for closed end funds, including ClearBridge Investments, Franklin Universal, Kayne Anderson, and Tortoise Capital.

Additionally, Andrew has executed debt private placements for the following asset managers: Aberdeen Asset Management, Calamos Investments, Lord Abbett, and Waddell and Reed. Andrew received a bachelors degree from Colby College and a JD / MBA from Cornell University and is a member of the New York State Bar.
