Apostolos holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a Ph.D. and an LLM from the University of London, and is a national scholar of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He was a Banking Law Scholar for Greece's prestigious National Scholarship Foundation for the years 1999-2003 and a Fulbright Scholar at Harvard Law School for 2004-2005. He started his career as an associate professor of law at the University of London and moved to private practice with Shearman & Sterling in 2005. He has published numerous books and articles on matters of international capital markets regulation and his latest book on Liability Management in Capital Markets Transactions is published by the University of Cambridge. Apostolos is a visiting professor and frequent speaker in the institutes and universities around the world on matters of international capital markets regulation. Apostolos has won many awards for his legal work and is recognized as a leading individual in international capital markets by all of the major leading directories, including Who is Who Legal, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Chambers UK, Legal 500, IFLR, Client Choice, and others. In 2015, he was named as one of the 40 Rising Stars in the legal profession under 40 by Financial News.
