Morten Erichsen
Managing Director, NOS Clearing ASA
Morten Erichsen, Managing Director of NOS Clearing ASA. Mr. Erichsen is one of the four founders of NOS in 1990. From 1974 until 1990 he worked with Det Norske Veritas. He holds an MSc degree from the Norwegian Institute of Technology and a Bsc degree in business and administration. Mr. Erichsen and NOS developed the Norwegian financial derivatives market including the creation of the world's first real time cross border derivatives marked consisting of the exchanges and clearinghouses in Oslo, Stockholm and London. Mr. Erichsen participated in the development of the Nordic Power market from 1994 to 2004, when NOS delivered extensive clearing, risk management and settlement services to Nord Pool. From 2000 and onward, Mr. Erichsen has worked with the development of the cleared freight futures market. In addition, Mr. Erichsen and NOS developed the new and emerging cleared market for salmon derivatives.
