Daniel Smith
Head of Broker Systems, Trayport Limited
Daniel Smith is Head of Trayport’s Broker Systems Business, where he has global responsibility for the commercial, development, support and strategic direction of Trayport’s Broker Trading System product. Daniel joined Trayport in October 2003 and has held several key product and commercial roles, and has taken a lead role in several high-profile projects such as the successful bid for the New Zealand Exchange, an equity derivatives broking system, and an alternative trading system for Canadian Government Bonds. Daniel brings 13 years of development, team leadership and project management expertise from his previous roles in the transportation, utilities and telecoms sectors. This includes managing large scale mission critical projects at General Electric Transportation Systems and Harris Communications. Daniel has a BSc and a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama as well as an MBA from the University of Florida.
