Ian Staples works for Freight Investor Services Ltd in London. He has been involved in the freight derivatives sector for the past 10 years as an analyst and currently as a broker. Formerly he worked for SSY as a director of research and as the editor and publisher of Lloyds Shipping Economist. He is the former chairman of the FFABA (2008) and a member of the Society of Technical Analysts. He is married and remains a keen supporter of Watford FC.
