Amie Thuener
Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers




Amie Thuener is a Director in Transaction Services, assisting clients with a variety of complex accounting transactions in both US GAAP and IFRS, primarily related to financial instruments issues such as derivatives and hedging, convertible debt and other financing arrangements, fair value measurements, and consolidations. In this role, she has led project teams serving multi-national companies across a variety of industries, such as banking, insurance, and automotive on comprehensive derivative and hedge accounting program reviews and advice, adoption of new accounting standards (e.g. FAS 167 and FAS 157), and IFRS conversion projects.

Prior to her current role, Amie was a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) from April 2004 to June 2006. At the FASB, she primarily worked on Fair Value Measurements (FAS 157) and Financial Guarantee Insurance (subsequently issued as FAS 163), as well as projects related to Registration Rights Agreements (FSP 00-19-2), and Revenue Recognition.

Amie was a senior manager in PwC's National office focusing on FAS 133, FIN 45, FAS 150, and insurance accounting and auditing issues; financial instruments; and PwC internal and external communications.

Amie started her career in PwC's San Francisco office on public and private financial services clients such as California Department of Insurance Companies in Liquidation and Conservation, California Casualty Insurance Company, and Regan Holding Corporation.

Amie is a Certified Public Accountant in California and New York and a graduate from UC Santa Barbara.
