Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA)
Yannis is a Partner in EY’s Assurance practice and Leads EY’s Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility (AM&M) Assurance Sector and the Mobility Sector in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA). He is a member of the EY’s Global Shipping Network and also coordinates the activities of the Greek shipping and ports hub.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the Institute of Certified Auditors Accountants in Greece and associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
He has over 22 years of assurance and advisory experience, mainly in the sectors of shipping and energy and utilities and specializes in serving clients operating in cross border transactions in the international equity and debt markets.
In his career he has led EY teams in major assurance and advisory engagements for clients operating mainly in the shipping industry, as well as in the energy and utilities sector.
He has served as auditor of the state owned electricity company in Greece and in his capacity as a subject matter resource, has also led various transaction support projects in Central - Southeast Europe on behalf of foreign investors, for electricity companies under privatisation.
Since 2003 Yannis has been mainly serving clients in their Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in the U.S and other Bond offerings, as well as seasoned SEC shipping registrants and has been involved in the majority of the U.S. Shipping IPOs in our EMEIA area. He currently and among others, serves as the Global Client Service Partner for several NASDAQ and NYSE listed clients operating in the transportation sector.
Yannis is responsible for driving growth in the Sector and for ensuring that our CESA professionals who are focused, or would like to focus, on this sector are well-aligned and have all the tools and contacts necessary to expand and fully utilize their industry knowledge and skills, and win in the market.
Yannis currently and among others, serves as the Global Client Service Partner for Navios Maritime Acquisition Corp. (NYSE listed), Navios Maritime Containers LP. (NASDAQ listed), Diana Shipping Inc. (NYSE listed), Performance Shipping Inc. (NASDAQ Listed), CERES Shipping Ltd, Prime Marine Management Inc., Onassis Foundation, Aegean Airlines S.A., Vistajet Group Holding Limited and Athens International Airport (AIA).
