An International Summit About Greece in New York

On Monday, December 9, 2024, we are hosting the 26th Annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum Forum entitled "Greece - Speeding Ahead Post Investment Upgrade" as an in-person event at the Metropolitan Club in New York. The Forum aims to enhance the business and investment ties between the United States and Greece and raise the profile of Greece as a business and investment destination to a global audience.

This is an International Summit about Greece in New York. It is held in cooperation with the New York Stock Exchange, the Athens Exchange Group and major global investment banks and attracts over 1,000 delegates.

It is the longest running Investment Summit about Greece taking place abroad, organized year after year, regardless of the political and economic conditions in Greece. The Forum is known for its quality and for featuring government and industry leaders. Throughout the event’s years-long history, Greek and U.S. government officials of successive administrations have consistently honored the Forum with their participation.

The Forum provides a unique platform for updating the US and the international communities on the latest developments in the Greek economy and the business and investment opportunities. Also, we host a series of meetings between government and business leaders and the management of Athens Stocke Exchange listed companies and investors.

Greece Heralds a New Dawn of Growth, Investments & Entrepreneurship

Greece is now experiencing a remarkable upturn in economic growth and inflow of foreign investments. The regaining of the Investment Grade Rating is a milestone for the Greek economy, attracting long-term capital and creating favorable liquidity conditions for the government, banks, insurance funds, households and businesses. This rating status unlocks opportunities for significant inflows of foreign capital, which were previously unable to invest in Greece, despite the recognition of its positive prospects.

The Greek economy is growing at a much faster pace than the rest of the Eurozone and is on a sustainable high growth path that is expected to last for years to come. Testament to this is the substantial influx of foreign direct investment into Greece at an accelerating pace.

In this context, the Forum will highlight the significant progress made so far and the potential ahead, the strong resilience and positive prospects of the Greek economy. The Forum will showcase Greece's competitive advantages and focus on business and investment opportunities across the major sectors of the economy, as well as the challenges facing the European and global economies today. The Forum, which is a full day event held at the Metropolitan Club, concludes with an official dinner during which we will present the “2024 Annual Capital Link Hellenic Leadership Award” to Dr.  Yannis Stournaras, Governor – Bank of Greece; Member of the Governing Council - European Central Bank for his outstanding contribution to Greece and Europe.

During his long and distinguished career and through the various positions he has held at the helm of major organizations (Minster of Finance, Governor of Bank of Greece and more), following his academic career, Dr. Stournaras had made invaluable contributions to the European and Greek economies. Also, he has been instrumental keeping Greece as part of the Euro and to Greece’s return to economic growth and prosperity.

The dinner will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 7.30 pm at the Union League Club in New York.

One-on-one Meetings

In parallel to the main sessions, a series of one-on-one meetings are hosted between investors, the management of the participating companies and government officials, providing unique business development and networking opportunities.
