John trained and quali?ed with Deloitte & Touche in Ireland before moving to Bermuda in 1982 to work for KPMG. In 1984 he joined the Naess Group, a private international shipping and venture capital investment company and was subsequently appointed Chief Financial O?cer. In 1990, he formed Atlantic Corporate Management Limited (ACM), a ?nancial and business management company specializing in the international shipping and energy industries. In 1997, ACM formed Delphi Management Limited, a private equity and alternative investment administration company. In 2001, he acquired Interpetroleum Services Limited, a company involved in chartering and ?nancing activities in the o?shore industry in the Gulf of Mexico.

John is currently the Co-Chairman of the Bermuda Shipping and Maritime Authority. He is also sits on the board of number of various private equity, hedge fund, private client investment vehicles and shipping companies. John is a former board member of the Association of International Companies in Bermuda and past chairman of the Bermuda International Shipping Association.
