Mr. Nicolaus Bunnemann has been with the family business since 2008. His work career started with an apprenticeship and part time Bachelor studies with Hamburg Süd Group. After completion he joined in 2003 the closed end fund issuing company NORDCAPITAL in Hamburg. Following this post, he started his postgraduate studies at CASS Business School, London which he graduated from with a Master degree (MSc) in Shipping, Trade and Finance in 2006. Before returning to the family business he served as Project Manager for the containership owner Rickmers Maritime Trust in Singapore in the preparation and execution of an IPO. Nicolaus is also heading the family office activities of the group, which actively invests into liquid assets including derivatives, real estate in various German cities, private equity in the DACH region, venture capital and other real asset investments.
