EXPERIENCE

Dr. Jan Dreyer is an attorney for the maritime industry with a focus on contract drafting and negotiation for the shipbuilding and supplier industry, ship financing, maritime and transport insurance law. He has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration and recourse actions and as arbitrator, conciliator and mediator. He is also an expert on German law in foreign court proceedings.

o Apprenticeship as a banker, Hamburg (1978 - 1980)
o Studied law in Hamburg and Freiburg im Breisgau (1980 - 1985); specialist lawyer for insurance law
o Promotion to Dr. iur., Universität Hamburg (1992)

TRACK RECORDS

o Advice to an American banking syndicate and other financial institutions on bids for the acquisition of substantial ship mortgage loan portfolios and NPL.
o Establishment of a holding structure for a medium-sized shipping company in Singapore including the transfer of the German company and negotiation of shareholder agreements in Singapore.
o ICC arbitration as chairman of the arbitral tribunal - conduct of ICC arbitration proceedings, presiding the tribunal as Chair. o Ongoing advice to German shipyard groups.
o Support of bidding procedures for the grid connection of offshore wind farms o Comprehensive project support for an LNG bunker supply vessel
