Alwin has 27 years of experience in the oil and gas offshore support vessel services with a background in the Fire Service and Law Enforcement. He joined Tidewater in 1996 and has served as an Oceans Master working specialty and supply vessels and Deputy Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Security, and he is presently serving as the Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Security. During his tenure with Tidewater he has received the 2010 Shipmaster of the Year from Lloyd's List, Untied States Coast Guard's Certificate of Valor, Tidewater's Chairman's Award and several other awards of recognition from regional and local organizations for the rescue efforts of 115 persons at the 2010 Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico.
