JOHN IS A PARTNER IN THE DISPUTE RESOLUTION GROUP

John's practice focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, insolvencies and work-outs and a broad range of corporate and commercial work ranging from stock and asset acquisitions and sales to company filings and commercial contracts. John advises and represents lenders, vessel owners, insurers, trading houses, industrial and software companies in asset enforcement and defense proceedings, bankruptcies and foreclosures, complex fraud and corporate malfeasance actions, and mergers and acquisitions.

John is a regular speaker at conferences and his articles are regularly published. His recent performance in a high stakes arbitration was highlighted by GAR 100 2017 as "exemplary" and he was noted to be "a person a client may rely upon." Recent Representative Matters

• Defended guarantor of vessel purchaser in an enforcement action before the High Court and Supreme Court of the Marshall Islands
• Represented shipowners and charterers in charter and other disputes before the SMA and in US Federal courts
• Defended shipping company relating to the breach of contract to purchase a US$58 million vessel including alter ego claims against parent-corporation
• Represented Monaco based shipping company in AAA arbitration concerning a joint venture dispute
• Represented various lenders in the foreclosure actions against vessels and other assets
