Tufton
Paulo is Portfolio Manager for Tufton's private equity activities and he has been responsible for investments in product tankers (recently merged into Hafnia Tankers which has an Oslo OTC listing) and handysize bulkers as well as originating opportunities in gas carriers and containerships. He joined Tufton in early 2009 after nine years in investment banking and fund management experience at UBS and Macquarie. Shipping transactions he led at UBS received three IPO of the year awards from Marine Money and Jane's Transport Finance for 2005. He spent four years in the shipping industry before business school.
He received his MSc in Finance from London Business School in 2000 and a BSc in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in 1995.
