Sam Eastwood
Partner
Norton Rose Fulbright

Sam Eastwood is a dispute resolution partner based in Norton Rose Fulbright's London office. He is experienced in handling a broad range of large commercial disputes for major corporations and financial institutions.

Sam is head of our business ethics and anti-corruption practice and advises major corporations on anti-corruption issues in connection with internal compliance policies and procedures, cross-border transactions and internal corporate investigations.

Recent experience includes advising TeliaSonera, a Scandinavian multinational, in an investigation and review of its Eurasian acquisitions with a focus on business ethics and risk management. This involved conducting a review across a number of jurisdictions which was then the subject of detailed reporting at the company's most recent AGM. Sam has acted as Independent Compliance Monitor for Macmillan Publishers Limited, reporting to the World Bank and the Serious Fraud Office. Sam was the sole legal advisor on the British Standards Institute's panel for the drafting of the Anti-Bribery Standard.

The recently published edition of Legal 500 UK ranks our practice in the first tier of firms for work in "corporate crime (including fraud, bribery and corruption)". Sam is consistently recognised as a leading individual in this field by Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners legal directories.
