Motor Oil is a 50+ year-old diversified energy group engaged in the refining, supply and trading of petroleum products, power generation from renewable and conventional resources, waste management and circular economy activities, as well as other energy-related services. Headquartered in Athens Greece, Motor Oil Group employs 3.1k employees and operates within Greece and worldwide.

Motor Oil’s oil refinery, located in Ag. Theodoroi (Corinth), is considered one of the most modern refineries in Europe with a Nelson Complexity Index of 12.61.

Through its subsidiaries Avin and Coral (formerly Shell Hellas), the Group is active in the trade and distribution of oil products through fuel retail networks in Greece (Avin, Coral) and Cyprus and the Balkans (Coral). Through Coral Gas, the Group is also engaged in the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products.

Motor Oil operates one of the largest lubricant re-refining plants in Southeast Europe through its subsidiary LPC, enjoying a leading position in the regeneration of used lube oils and the production of end user lubricants in Greece.

The Group is also present in the supply of electricity and natural gas and the provision of e-mobility, net metering & smart home services through its fully owned subsidiary Nrg Supply & Trading.

At the end of 2019, Motor Oil expanded into the renewables power generation, operating today a portfolio of 837MW in wind and solar projects, while having a pipeline of 2.2GW in development process.

In 2021, Motor Oil and Gek Terna established Thermoilektriki Komotinis, a joint venture for the construction of a modern CCGT power plant fueled with natural gas in the industrial area of Komotini, Greece.

In the last 12 months, the Group expanded in the areas of biofuels production and waste management through the acquisitions of Verd and Thalis and has established Hellenic Hydrogen, a JV with PPC for the production of green hydrogen.

Through a €4bn investment plan in 2022-30, Motor Oil Group is delivering one of the largest energy transition programs in Southeastern Europe.
