Agenda v 1.0
Decarbonization in Shipping
London Time Zone
Day 1 - Wednesday, July 20, 2022
12:00 - 12:45pm
Alternative Fuels Landscape
This panel discussion will bring together industry leaders representing organization with pioneering decarbonization activities and exploring different fuel pathways. From Methanol, to biofuels, LNG to Hydrogen and Ammonia we will analyze the fuel options to achieve the IMO’s 2030 and 2050 GHG targets. Panelists will provide their unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities related to the adoption, scaling up and required infrastructure, as well as how they see the fuel options evolving.
1:00 - 1:45pm
The Complexities Around CII and SEEMP III
From 1 January 2023, ships of 5,000 GT and above must have a verified Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan or SEEMP Part III, to document it's CII targets. SEEEMP Part III a strategic tool to achieve carbon intensity improvements but what's actually involved in SEEMP Part III compliance? This session will explore why SEEMP Part 3 III compliance goes beyond a paperwork exercise, the impacts of port correction and voyage factors and what needs to happen ahead of the deadline.
Day 2 - Thursday, July 21, 2022
12:00 - 12:45pm
DESIGNING SHIPS OF THE FUTURE - Technology To Ensure Decarbonization Ship And Society
“Future Ship Design” is one of the key factors in the overall quest for decarbonization. This session explores the theme from the viewpoints of key stakeholders involved in this process, namely shipyards and trading houses, which act both independently and also through partnerships.
1:00 - 1:45pm
Technology & Decarbonization
Decarbonization started with very ambitious targets, but also with very different positions IMO, EU, COP26, and others. The management of a very fragmented and fragile decarbonization play of game needs firm and solid positions.
Is really digitalization the way and the mean to make decarbonization projects practical, doable and measurable?
2:00 - 2:45pm
Decarbonization: Shipowner, Investor & Charterer - Putting it All Together Industry Roundtable
Shipowners, charterers and financiers/investors are among the key stakeholders in the shipping industry. Their interaction and cooperation has direct impact on the overall the direction of the industry and on the drive to decarbonization specifically. This Roundtable Discussion will provide the viewpoint of each stakeholder, the issues and challenges they face, and how they can interact and cooperate towards achieving a common objective.
